The Radiation Physics Service has been providing a Radiation Protection, Quality Assurance and Radiation Monitoring Service throughout northern England, the Midlands and beyond for more than 25 years.
We currently serve over 300 private dental practices, as well as NHS dental and maxillofacial surgical services and X-ray equipment installers.
In accordance with the requirements of the Ionising Radiations Regulations 2017, you get access to RPA2000 certificated Radiation Protection Advisers who can consult on all radiation protection issues in your practice. We also provide Medical Physics Expert support in accordance with the Ionising Radiation (Medical Exposure) Regulations 2017.
We will provide the practice with all required legal documentation to ensure compliance with the Ionising Radiations Regulations 2017, and the Ionising Radiation (Medical Exposure) Regulations 2017. This includes, but is not necessarily limited to; risk assessments, local rules & a radiation protection file. We will also be there for all other radiation protection and imaging related queries, and always aim to provide concise and clear recommendations.

Radiation Physics Service, we will visit the practice to perform all radiation protection and QA measurements on your dental X-ray equipment. This is included in the price of your three year radiation protection service.
We can provide radiation protection update training to staff involved in the use of X-rays, in accordance with Schedule 3 of the Ionising Radiation (Medical Exposure) Regulations. Training can be provided either at your practice or at our base at Castle Hill Hospital, Cottingham.
