The Ionising Radiations Regulations 2017 (IRR17) impose duties on employers in Great Britain to protect employees and other persons against ionising radiation arising from work with radioactive substances and other sources of ionising radiation.
The Ionising Radiation (Medical Exposure) Regulations 2017 lay down basic measures for the health protection of individuals against dangers of ionising radiation in relation to medical exposure.
Legislation and guidance on regulations covered by the Environment Agency on holding, using and disposing of radioactive substances, and those covered by the Office for Nuclear Regulation on the transport of radioactive substances.
Includes optical radiation (e.g. lasers, UV) and EMF (e.g. MRI scanner).
